Copy print of Sheriff M.L. Woolley's children playing on steps of 1896 Richmond jail. Children are W.P. (Willy) and M. Lafayette (Fay). Woolley's family lived in the jail while he was deputy Sheriff and Sheriff, from about 1904-1914. 2 children were born in the jail. Child on left (in arched entryway of the jail building) is sitting with hands behind him and the other child is standing.
