At the front of the station, there are three garage doors at the base, with a balcony above. The fire fighters are lined up with two horse-drawn wagons outside of their respective garage doors. On the back of the postcard, the sender has left a handwritten message that says, "As there is no principal strut here I will send you this. I am at St. David, Pa. These is nothing here but the station and a few houses, no stores. I expect to go down to Atlantic City this week."
