Patent for improvement in wire-fastening clips by constructing the clip using “a collar, a finger carried by the collar and extending above and below the collar, and a set-screw to engage with the finger below the collar.” (P. 2, lines 8-11.) This clip can be “adjustably secured to the fence-post in such manner that it may be readily raised and lowered, whereby the wires may be spaced as desired without necessitating boring of the post.” (Lines 17-21.)
