City ordinance granting the Abilene & Southern Railway Company right of ways over property owned by the City of Abilene and granting the company the right to build and operate a railroad on property belonging to the City of Abilene, Texas. The ordinance details the specific locations the railway company has rights to, and the rights of the city to regulate the railroad. "Not Executed" is written at the top of the document and it is unsigned.

Sayles is supposed to deliver the modifications through a letter to A. Sutherland Harris. Bomar believes a copy of the letter should be sent to Alexander S. Coke.

Letter to F. W. Hughes stating it is not wise to permit Bomar to possess Hughes interest. The writer will tell Bomar that Hughes must have the interest.

Letter from I. H. Kempner to Henry Sayles stating that Mr. Derden will handle matters with land previously discussed. Kempner states that Sayles' trip to Limestone County will be delayed.

Letter from U. S. Hearrell to Henry Sayles discussing a ring that was sent. Hearrell informs Sayles he will not be able to send an endorsement letter as the party it is due to will not relinquish it until it is due. Hearrell discusses options Sayles can take to obtain the letter and also states that he will do whatever he can do for Sayles in his part of the country.

Galveston National Bank check made out to U. E. Austin or order, for $80.00 and signed by W. K. McAlpine. The background of the check has a yellow seal in the center for the U.S. Internal Revenue and the text "Documentary Stamp" around the number 2 on either side of the seal. The back of the check is stamped "Paid Apr 22 1901" and endorsed by U. E. Austin.
