Preached in Brownwood, Texas, and later in Ana in 1904.

A handwritten manuscript for a sermon based on Exodus 14:15. We can not stand still. We must move forward with trust and courage in the face of difficulties and fear. Preached in Amarillo and then Bangs, Texas (10/12/1907).

Receipt for poll taxes paid to Taylor County by Henry Sayles, Sr. for the year 1908. The receipt lists Sayles' age, race, occupation, and number of years he'd lived in Taylor County, Texas.

Funeral notice for John B. Denton, who was killed by Indians on May 22, 1841. The interment was held at the Denton Courthouse on November 21, 1901. According to an article in the Denton Record-Chronicle, "the custom was to place such notices in all public places to invite people to the funeral. This notice was given to the Denton Public Library by Mrs. R.M. Mitchell and was included in one of three scrapbooks that she made for the library."
