The woman standing on the right is Alice Hearrell. Chisholm and Hearrell are holding their diplomas. The Bloomfield Academy was established in the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, in 1852. It was located approximately three miles south of Achille, Oklahoma.

Fort Washita
