Patent for "a mounted adjustable frame adapted to the use of either cultivator or plow, and which shall be provided with means whereby the track can be narrowed or widened and the depth regulated as desired; also, by which the standard or standards can be raised or lowered independently of or dependently upon the height of axle-arm" (lines 13-21).

This short pamphlet constitutes the bylaws of the O. D. H. S. steadfast lodge number 160, a chapter of the Order of the Sons of Hermann which was devoted to the preservation of German heritage and culture. The document describes rules for calling meetings, intake of new members, collecting membership dues, electing officers, attendance at member funerals, and making changes to the bylaws. The last page lists the officers of the lodge at the time the bylaws were approved.

Patent for improvements in pickle lifters: "provide a device of the character set forth which is adapted for culinary as well as table use in lifting pickles, olives, or other edibles of a similar nature from bottles or jars, the parts of the same being simple and effective in the construction and operation" (lines 13-19).
