It reads: "A member of the organization shown above has permission to visit Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, and/or Salinas between Retreat and Reveille daily when off duty, and from Retreat Saturday to Reveille Monday, when off duty." It is signed by Boy and his commanding officer, Captain W. H. Garner.
