Comments on "Solubility and Dissolution Thermodynamic Data of Cefpiramide in Pure Solvents and Binary Solvents"

Abstract: Errors are found in the mathematical correlation based on the combined Jouyban-Acree and Modified Apelblat model for describing the variation in the mole fraction solubility of cefpiramide with temperature and solvent composition for the binary aqueous-ethanol solvent system. The equation coefficents given by Tang and coworkers, when substituted into the model equation, do not yield the authors' calculated mole fraction solubilities of cefpiramide.

Multisite phosphorylation of a synthetic peptide derived from the carboxyl terminus of the ribosomal protein S6

Article synthesizing and testing the synthetic peptide AKRRRLSSLRASTSKSESSQK (56-21) which corresponds to the carboxyl-terminal 21 amino acids of human ribosomal protein S6 as a substrate for S6/H4 kinase purified from human placenta. Diffusion Entropy vs. Multiscale and Rényi Entropy to Detect Progression of Autonomic Neuropathy

This article reviews the literature to argue the importance of the occurrence of crucial events in the dynamics of physiological processes. Crucial events are interpreted as short time intervals of turbulence, and the time distance between two consecutive crucial events is a waiting time distribution density with an inverse power law (IPL) index µ, with µ < 3 generating non-stationary behavior.

Artificially structured boundary for confinement of effectively unmagnetized cryogenic antimatter plasmas

The article is from conference proceedings that discuss an artificially structured boundary (ABS) considered to consist of a spatially periodic arrangement of electrostatically plugged magnetic cusps. As envisioned, a non-neutral positron plasma could be confined by an ASB along its edge, and the space charge of the positron plasma would serve to confine an antiproton plasma. If the conditions of the two-species plasma are suitable, production of antihydrogen via three-body recombination for antimatter gravity studies may be possible.
