Using an Adjunctive Treatment to Address Psychological Distress in a National Weight Management Program: Results of an Integrated Pilot Study
Article examining weight loss and physical functioning of obese veterans with comorbid psychological symptoms when participating in weight management programs. The MOVE! program aims to increase healthy eating and physical activity to promote weight loss in obese veterans. Adequately addressing psychological barriers is necessary to maximize outcomes in MOVE! for veterans with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. This study examined the preliminary outcomes of administering the Healthy Emotions and Improving Health BehavioR Outcomes (HERO) intervention. HERO is adjunctive cognitive-behavioral therapy to MOVE! that addresses PTSD, depression, and anxiety symptom barriers to engagement in physical activity.

Remodeling the epigenome and (epi)cytoskeleton: a new paradigm for co-regulation by methylation
This article is a commentary on coordinated use of methyl marks to remodel both the epigenome and the (epi)cytoskeleton, which opens the possibility for integrated regulation (referred to as ‘epiregulation’) of other higher-level functions, such as muscle contraction or learning and memory, and could even have evolutionary implications.

Parental transgenerational epigenetic inheritance related to dietary crude oil exposure in Danio rerio
Article investigating the transgenerational inheritance from both parental lines in zebrafish. Adult zebrafish were separated into female and male groups exposed for 21 days to either a control diet or to a diet containing water accommodated fractions of crude oil. To determine the maternal and paternal influence on their offspring, the authors evaluated responses from molecular to whole organismal levels in both generations.

Climate Metrics for C1–C4 Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs)
This article looks at hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) which are potent greenhouse gases that are potential substitutes for ozone depleting substances. The Kigali amendment lists 17 HFCs that are currently in commercial use to be regulated under the Montreal Protocol. Future commercial applications may explore the use of other HFCs, most of which currently lack an evaluation of their climate metrics. In this work, atmospheric lifetimes, radiative efficiencies (REs), global warming potentials (GWPs), and global temperature change potentials (GTPs) for all saturated HFCs with fewer than 5 carbon atoms are estimated to help guide future usage and policy decisions.

Fabrication and characterization of inkjet-printed 2D perovskite optoelectronic devices
Article presents the large scale synthesis of solution-processed 2D (CH₃(CH₂)₃NH₃)₂(CH₃NH₃)ₙ − 1PbₙI₃ₙ + 1 (n = 2, 3, and 4) perovskites, a family of layered compounds with composition-tunable bandgap, where inkjet printing was used to fabricate heterostructure, flexible photodetector devices. The flexible, inkjet-printed perovskite 2D heterostructures have significant potential for optoelectronic devices, which can enable broad possibilities with compositional tunability and versatility of the organohalide perovskites.

3D-printed and injection molded polymer matrix composites with 2D layered materials
This article reports on a study where 2D TMDs (MoS₂ and WS₂) and the 3D allotrope of carbon and graphite were incorporated into acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) matrices in order to form polymer matrix composites (PMCs). The multipronged analysis described in this study was motivated by the purpose to fuse together topics of low-cost, additive manufacturing with 2D layered materials, and studying their ensuing mechanical and tribological properties.
