Flipped and Free: an inverted, active-learning general chemistry course using exclusively OER

Presentation on using a flipped course format and including an open textbook, OpenStax: Chemistry 2e. Flipped courses provide lecture content that is accessible online, and they use class time for active learning activities. It is a part of 2022 University of North Texas Open Access Symposium that was held on March 8, 2022.

Reference materials for phase equilibrium studies. 1. Liquid–liquid equilibria (IUPAC Technical Report) (open access)

Reference materials for phase equilibrium studies. 1. Liquid–liquid equilibria (IUPAC Technical Report)

This article is the first of three projected IUPAC Technical Reports resulting from IUPAC Project 2011-037-2-100 (Reference Materials for Phase Equilibrium Studies). This report proposes seven systems for liquid–liquid equilibrium studies, covering the four most common categories of binary mixtures: aqueous systems of moderate solubility, non-aqueous systems, systems with low solubility, and systems with ionic liquids.

A theoretical study of M–M′ polar-covalent bonding in heterobimetallic multinuclear organometallic complexes of monovalent group 11 metal centres (open access)

A theoretical study of M–M′ polar-covalent bonding in heterobimetallic multinuclear organometallic complexes of monovalent group 11 metal centres

Article describes how complexes with closed-shell (d10–d10) interactions have been studied for their interesting luminescence properties in organic light-emitting diode (OLED) devices. The present computational study aims at understanding the chemical bonding/interactions in a series of molecules with unusually short metal–metal bond distances between monovalent coinage-metal (d10–d10) centres.
