Automated Approach to In Vitro Image-Guided Photothermal Therapy with Top-Down and Bottom-Up-Synthesized Graphene Quantum Dots
Article discusses how, based on recent studies, graphene quantum dots (GQDs) are expected to possess advantageous photothermal properties and facilitate fluorescence image-tracking in the visible and near-infrared (NIR), while surpassing other graphene-based materials in their biocompatibility. The combination of the photothermal and imaging modalities tested in vitro makes the GQDs developed in this work prospective agents for cancer theragnostics.

An Ethnographic Study of Collaborative Fashion Consumption: The Case of Temporary Clothing Swapping
This article is the first research that has examined temporary swapping, a form of collaborative fashion consumption, that involves clothing exchange between two people that does not require the transfer of product ownership or monetary compensation. In this ethnographic study the authors explored benefits, risks, and the meanings constructed by eight women before, during, and after exchanging parts of their wardrobes with a swap partner.

A Statistical Analysis of Trans-Resveratrol in Grape Cane From Ten Varieties of Cultivated Wine Grapes (Vitis Spp.)
This article isolated resveratrol by a non-optimized protocol from ten varieties of grape cane grown in central Texas, USA. A statistical grouping of the ten varieties suggests that Norton, Blanca du bois, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Lenoir are the best candidates to use for further resveratrol isolation.

Biochar aerogel-based electrocatalyst towards efficient oxygen evolution in acidic media
Article argues that traditional acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts are more prone to be oxidized and corroded as results of unstable carrier structures and variable electronic states of active species, so a high-performing biochar aerogel (BA) based electrocatalyst was realistically designed and synthetized via joint utilization of the terrestrial lignin and seaweed polysaccharide as carbon sources. This work puts forward a novel and effective strategy towards the enhancement of the acidic OER process by rational regulations of the BA and the coupling effect in micro-interface.

Lipid Droplets: Packing Hydrophobic Molecules Within the Aqueous Cytoplasm
Article discusses how lipid droplets, also known as oil bodies or lipid bodies, are plant organelles that compartmentalize neutral lipids as a hydrophobic matrix covered by proteins embedded in a phospholipid monolayer. The authors review the growing body of knowledge about lipid droplets in plant cells, describe the evolutionary similarity and divergence in their associated subcellular machinery, and point to gaps that deserve future attention.

Dry blood spot samples to monitor immune-associated mRNA expression in intervention studies: Impact of Baker's yeast beta glucan
Article describes how monitoring immunological response to physical stressors in a field setting is challenging because existing methods require a laboratory visit and traditional blood collection via venipuncture. The purpose of this study was to determine if our optimized dry blood spot (DBS) methodology yields sufficient total RNA to quantify the effect of Baker's Yeast Beta Glucan supplementation on post-exercise mRNA expression.
