Access Services 2.0 through Employee-Directed Planning
Presentation discusses utilizing participatory leadership techniques such as circle practice and World Cafe´ to enhance employee involvement in organizational planning. Access Services employees were empowered to participate in setting goals, future planning, and restructuring the department. BAM: A Block-Based Bayesian Method for Detecting Genome-Wide Associations with Multiple Diseases
Article proposes a novel Bayesian method, named BAM, for simultaneously partitioning Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) into Linkage Disequilibrium(LD)-blocks and detecting genome-wide multi-locus epistatic interactions that are associated with multiple diseases. Experimental results on the simulated datasets demonstrate that BAM is powerful and efficient.

Can a simple topological-constraints-based model predict the initial dissolution rate of borosilicate and aluminosilicate glasses?
This article, as an alternative route to empirical models, shows that a structural descriptor based on the number of topological constraints per atom can be used to predict the initial dissolution rate of aluminosilicate and borosilicate glasses after being parameterized on different families of glasses (specific series of borosilicate glasses). Results show that, provided that corrections are made for high alkali content glasses that dissolve incongruently (preferential release of Na), the model gives reasonable predictions, even far from its training domain.

Code Comparison in Galaxy-scale Simulations with Resolved Supernova Feedback: Lagrangian versus Eulerian Methods
Authors of the article present a suite of high-resolution simulations of an isolated dwarf galaxy using four different hydrodynamical codes: Gizmo, Arepo, Gadget, and Ramses. They find reasonable agreement on the time-averaged star formation rates as well as the joint density–temperature distributions between all codes.

Exploration of Metadata Practices in Digital Collections of Archives with Arabian Language Materials
Article for a study aimed to develop understanding of the current state of metadata practices in digital collections of archival institutions in the Arabian Gulf region. It also explored perspectives (including attitudes and possible barriers) for development of large-scale regional portals that would facilitate discovery of Arab digital archives (including language collections) by aggregating metadata. Feasibility Study of Microsecond Pulsed Microwave Ablation Using a Minimally Invasive Antenna
Article establishing the feasibility of producing localized ablation zones using microsecond pulsed microwave ablation (MWA) as an alternative to conventional continuous wave (CW) MWA. Friction stir welding of SS 316 LN and Nitronic 50 jacket sections for application in superconducting fusion magnet systems
Article explores the possibility of using friction stir welding (FSW) to join jacket web sections of two nitrogen-containing stainless steels for housing internally cooled superconducting cables which are utilized to generate magnetic fields in tokamak type fusion reactor systems. It has been shown that the FSW fabricated SS 316 LN jackets possessed the required strength and magnetic properties critical to this application.

Hedgehog signaling is involved in acquired resistance to KRASG12C inhibitors in lung cancer cells
Article states that although KRASG12C inhibitors have shown promising activity in lung adenocarcinomas harboring KRASG12C, acquired resistance to these therapies eventually occurs in most patients. The authors report that the hedgehog signal is induced by KRASG12C inhibitors and mediates KRAS re-expression in cancer cells treated with a KRASG12C inhibitor.

The Impact of COVID-19 Shocks on Business and GDP of Global Economy
Article examines the relationship between COVID-19 shocks and GDP loss of different countries worldwide based on the seven scenarios of the epidemiological DSGE/CGE model. Their results reveal that the most significant GDP loss is associated with Japan, Germany, and the US, respectively, which are industrialized countries with the most prominent automobile manufacturers.

The Interface Strengthening of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes/Polylactic Acid Composites via the In-Loop Hybrid Manufacturing Method
Article describes how in this study, a new in-loop hybrid manufacturing method is proposed for fabricating multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNTs)/polylactic acid (PLA) composites. Molecular dynamics simulations were conducted in conjunction with experiments to reveal the mechanism of the proposed method for improving the interfacial performance of MWCNTs/PLA.
