Mellon Foundation recently funded a study of the landscape of usage data for open-access scholarly monographs and an investigation of the viability of creating a data trust for sharing of usage data among stakeholders in the publishing ecosystem. In spring 2019, the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) will publish a final white paper that takes into account feedback from the community during a consultation period. This paper examined how users navigated between other collections within the UNT IR, as well as within the UNT DL. Through this examination, we observed patterns between how users navigated between objects, understood which collections may have related to one another, examined why some unique items were used more than others, and viewed the average number of items used within a session

Discovery of these collections may be enhanced through the application of relevant cataloging standards and con-trolled vocabularies. This paper outlines how librarians at the University of North Texas Libraries used these strategies to increase access to a large collection of tabletop games.

Not only are there emotional components but there are also more technical and procedural responsibilities that may be overlooked. These facilities, technological, and human resources tasks need to be handled sensitively and in a timely manner. Remembering whom to contact, what property needs to be considered, and how to produce final paychecks are just a few of the concerns managers will face in a trying time. This guide aims to serve as a checklist of the basic components and tasks managers will face after the sudden loss of an employee.

This paper discusses the use of Metadata Record Graphs as a way of generating network-based metrics for metadata in six digital library collections, and evaluates the usefulness of network analysis versus more standard statistical data.

To complement UNT’s limited inclusive-access program, the UNT Libraries has taken the lead on two programs designed to encourage adoption, adaptation, and creation of OER at UNT. The first, OER Summer Grants, provides research funding for faculty who adopt an open textbook, modify an existing one, or create new supplemental material. The second, UNT Open Texts, is a partnership with the UNT Press that provides research funding for faculty who author a new open textbook to be published jointly by the Press and Libraries. These specifics of these programs will be presented.

Presentation for The Multidisciplinary Information Research Symposium (MIRS-2019). This presentation discusses UNT Libraries’ experience in collaborating with UNT's College of Information (COI) faculty members and providing a real world environment for COI students to practically experience the intersection of people, technology, and information. The presentation highlights the benefits of UNT’s Libraries’ local, state-wide, national, and international projects, ranging from harvesting UNT websites, to the Texas Register archive established through a partnership with the Office of the Texas Secretary of State, to the End-of-Term Presidential Harvest (EOT) and International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC), a global network of experts archiving the web for future generations. All these active and ongoing high profile projects provide a wealth of data and research questions to be investigated.
