Dual-Wavelength Terahertz Metasurfaces with Independent Phase and Amplitude Control at Each Wavelength
This article describes the design of a dual-wavelength achromatic metasurface-based deflector deflecting the incident wave to the same direction at two selected wavelengths, which has circumvented the critical limitation of strong wavelength dependence in the planar metasurface-based devices caused by the resonant nature of the plasmonic structures.

Effect of a finite antiproton mass on antihydrogen synthesis via magnetobound positronium within electron-positron-antiproton plasmas
This article describes a study that was conducted to determine what would happen if a magnetobound positronium system encountered a finite-mass antiproton. The simulation incorporates a strong magnetic field (1 T) similar to that found within Penning traps. The simulation shows that with a finite-mass antiproton, the electron will be ejected from the system, and the positron is captured into a bound state with an antiproton thereby synthesizing antihydrogen.

Effect of Elevated Temperatures on Properties of Blended Cements with Clinoptilolite
Article investigates the effect of elevated temperature on properties of clinoptilolite blended cements. Clinoptilolite was used at 5 %, 10 %, 15 % and 20 % replacement by weight for Portland cement while sand and water quantities were kept constant in all mix designs. The mortars with 5 % or 10 % cliniptilolite substitution have compressive strength exceeding 42.5 MPa after being subjected to 400 °C and 500 °C.

EMOTION-III Model: A Theoretical Framework for Social Empathic Emotions in Autonomous Control Systems
In this article, a theoretical model of social empathic emotion is derived based on the principles of survival by extending the maximization of self-gains to include others as an extended-self. This extended-self model of optimization for survival provides the computational mechanisms in the optimization process to maximize self-gains without minimizing the gains (or maximizing losses) for the other individuals. Thus, it can resolve conflicts in a competitive environment, and change the social dynamics into a cooperative interaction instead.

Ending the Evidentiary & Insurance Reimbursement Bias Against Neurofeedback to Treat Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: It Will Take Clinician Action in Addition to the Compelling Science
This article argues against the treatment of Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with stimulant medication and behavior therapy, which are also typically reimbursed by healthcare insurers. Evidence suggests that these treatments fail to result in sustained benefit for the vast majority of children who receive them as demonstrated in the NIMH-funded MTA Cooperative study, the gold standard study in ADHD treatment effectiveness research. The authors instead look at the use of neurofeedback which is uniquely suited to treat the neuronal dysregulation that is common in people diagnosed with ADHD. However, healthcare insurers do not regularly cover this treatment method, so the authors direct readers to resources to appeal insurers' denial of coverage for neurofeedback.
