Presentation is a follow-up on work from the UNT Libraries regarding compiled data from the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and its comparison to UNT holdings. Journal usage data has been added to provide a more complete answer to the original question posed previously. Presentation that provides a summary of the literature on library outreach and indicates how the literature review has impacted outreach developments at the UNT Libraries. Outreach has a positive impact on student success, but a clear definition of what outreach is looms beyond the literature. Intermixed with marketing, advertising, broader engagement methods, and social media use, outreach has become a catch-all term for activities that bring awareness to library resources, services, programs, spaces, and employees. Partnering with the UNT Libraries to engage with primary sources, particularly newspaper collections, to conduct archival analysis related to the history of power, domination and resistance in Texas communities.

Presentation examining the deployment of The Keeper App, developed at the University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries, to help students document their daily lives as members of the UNT campus community. Deployed one year before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, the Keeper App soon became a means for students and other members of the UNT community to share their experiences from isolation during the time of crisis.

Presentation exploring book digitization practices and standards and share how they are implemented by the UNT Digital Projects Lab. With a large number of books flowing into their department, the authors decided to conduct research on the methods of scanning using the equipment and software available to them. This presentation reports on their findings and what factors went into deciding what type of books get scanned where and how. Results include changes to local digitizing standards and clarified workflows based on the types of books to be scanned. It was presented at the 2023 Visual Resources Association Conference held in San Antonio, Texas.
