Chemical exfoliation efficacy of semiconducting WS2 and its use in an additively manufactured heterostructure graphene–WS2–graphene photodiode

Article describes an experiment where various chemical exfoliation routes for semiconducting two-dimensional (2D) layered material WS2 were explored, including magnetic stirring (MS), shear mixing (SM), and horn-tip (HT) sonication.

Low-Cost Reliable Corrosion Sensors Using ZnO-PVDF Nanocomposite Textiles

This article investigates the reliability and effectiveness of nonwoven zinc(II) oxide-polyvinylidene fluoride (ZnO-PVDF) nanocomposite fiber textiles as an embedded corrosion sensor using an accelerated thermal cyclic method paired to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Results suggest that the flexible sensor is reliable at both monitoring the corrosion and acting as a corrosion barrier.
