Mapping hierarchical and heterogeneous micromechanics of a transformative high entropy alloy by nanoindentation and machine learning augmented clustering
Article describes how conventional macromechanical tests provide limited insights into complex hierarchical deformation behavior of a transformative high entropy alloy (HEA). In this work, a high throughput microstructure-micromechanical correlative study is presented by combining high-resolution nanoindentation, site-specific microscopy, and Gaussian mixture model (GMM) clustering.

What Makes Children's Responses to Creativity Assessments Difficult to Judge Reliably?
Article describes how open-ended verbal creativity assessments are commonly administered in psychological research and in educational practice to elementary-aged children. Authors modeled the predictors of inter-rater disagreement in a large (i.e., 387 elementary school students and 10,449 individual item responses) dataset of children's creativity assessment responses.

Expression and Function of Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1 Ion Channels in the Caudal Nucleus of the Solitary Tract
The article describes a study that tested and confirmed the hypothesis that TRPA1 expressed in the primary sensory afferents may modulate the function of second order NTS neurons. The expression of TRPA1 was detected in presynaptic locations, but not the somata of caudal NTS neurons that did not express TRPA1 mRNA or proteins. Moreover, caudal NTS neurons did not show somatodendritic responsiveness to TRPA1 agonists, while TRPA1 immunostaining was detected only in the afferent fibers.

3D-printed and injection molded polymer matrix composites with 2D layered materials
This article reports on a study where 2D TMDs (MoS₂ and WS₂) and the 3D allotrope of carbon and graphite were incorporated into acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) matrices in order to form polymer matrix composites (PMCs). The multipronged analysis described in this study was motivated by the purpose to fuse together topics of low-cost, additive manufacturing with 2D layered materials, and studying their ensuing mechanical and tribological properties.
