Article introduces a semi-automated method for extracting stream channels and channel profiles from high-resolution digital elevation models (DEMs) using image processing techniques. Article discusses authors' findings that through genetic screening for suppressors of defense gene induction in the low lignin ccr1-3 mutant of Arabidopsis thaliana, we found that loss of function of the receptor-like kinase FERONIA, although not restoring growth, affected cell wall remodeling and blocked release of elicitor-active pectic polysaccharides as a result of the ccr1-3 mutation. Conference paper for an exploratory study that examined student-created metadata for physical non-text resources. The authors applied in-depth qualitative and quantitative content analysis to the Dublin Core (DCTERMS) metadata created by the graduate students in two sections of an introductory digital library metadata course. Finding of comparative analysis for the asynchronous course section and the section with synchronous class meetings are also presented.
