This document details the steps taken by the University of North Texas' Digital Libraries in order to take a collaborative approach to the Trusted Repository Audit. It highlights UNT's collaboration with the University of Florida on a peer-review model and process in order to complete the Trusted Repository Audit Checklist (TRAC). This workshop is presented by members of a University of North Texas research team. First, the team will overview their experience as members of the research team and share experience in areas such as trust formation, team roles, productivity, work-life balance, faculty-students interaction, peer and faculty mentorship, dissertation preparation, and job seeking. Second, the workshop will discuss and brainstorm how this format can be implemented for organizations both with faculty-student teams and with peer-directed teams. Finally, successes and challenges are openly discussed with audience.

This abstract highlights Serge Jaroff's Don Cossack Choir, which was founded at a Turkish concentration camp in 1921, and went on to perform around the world. This abstract gives details on the history of the choir and the type of concerts that Jaroff gave. In addition, it explains the lack of scholarly attention that Jaroff and his choir have received.

With a current population of just over half a million and a 2030 projected population of approximately one million, expansion throughout Denton County shows no sign of slowing down (NCTCOG). Increasingly, freshwater resources are also facing increased pressure from this urban expansion. Effective assessment and management techniques are necessary to protect the diversity of ecosystem services found within fluvial ecosystems and to mitigate current and future conditions of environmental stressor amplified by urban development. The use of various spatial analysis techniques in environmental assessment present more expedient, cost effective, and broader ranging methods of evaluation than traditional field techniques. One such novel evaluation technique is the Water Quality Corridor Management (WQCM) model, developed by the University of North Texas in cooperation with the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (UTRWD). The WQCM model is a geospatial database that utilizes GIS and remote sensing techniques to assess and prioritize stream reaches according to their overall health and sustainability. This project assessed the viability of the WQCM model in reviewing the status of stream systems, and ultimately, established an accurate mechanism for evaluating the stream corridor and surface water quality draining into Lewisville Lake, a popular recreation site and drinking water source for …

Trauma, and its associated effects, can be conceptualized as a period of information uncertainty. The natural psychological response to trauma is a period of post-traumatic stress. Trauma occurs when an existing knowledge base has been challenged. Any event that challenges important components of an individual’s assumptive world is said to be traumatic. This post-traumatic period is akin to many theories and concepts in information science including uncertainty reduction, Everyday Life Information Seeking, Sensemaking Theory, Making Meaning and Anomalous States of Knowledge. One possible outcome after the post- traumatic period is post-traumatic growth. Researchers agree post-traumatic growth primarily occurs across one or more of the following domains: personal strength, new possibilities, relating to others, appreciation of life and spiritual change. That is, people affected by trauma tend to grow when they find new or additional paths of information certainty.

These grant materials were prepared for a project funded by Humanities Texas to digitize materials from the Deaf Smith County Library. The collection represented a wealth of primary source images that document the people, places and culture of Hereford and the surrounding county. A work plan details the digitization process and scanning standards, developing a lesson plan, and long-term benefits of the project. The project was funded for $5,000.
