Interview with Bruce Elliot, a Navy veteran and POW from Montezuma, Kansas. Elliot discusses his family, joining the Navy and volunteering for Asiatic service, the start of war and the bombing of Cavite Navy Yard in the Philippines, retreat to Corregidor, capture by the Japanese, escaping internment on Palawan and joining Moro guerillas, sabotage, linking up with Australian forces, evacuation to Australia and returning to the United States, becoming a deepsea diver, and Korean War service. In appendix are a photo of Elliot, a map of the Philippines, two photos of a POW camp on Palawan, and a photo of three of his comrades.

Interview with Nan (Barbara) Alexander, a former model and executive at Neiman Marcus. Alexander discusses her background, beginning work in the fashion industry as a store model, her education, working as a sample model and "Girl Friday" at Howard Wolf Inc. in Fair Park, being a sportswear model at Neiman Marcus, the layout of the store, the apparel market, and the history of fashion in the DFW area.

Interview with Naomi Rudelson, a former department store executive from New Orleans, Louisiana. Rudelson discusses involvement with the fashion industry in Dallas, starting with work as an assistant to a personal shopper and eventually becoming vice president of several different department stores. Rudelson also describes designing a curriculum for students at the University of North Texas, and the work environment at Dalton's department store, Sanger-Harris, Winkleman's in Detroit, and May Company Los Angeles.

Interview with George Holcombe, a Methodist pastor and civil rights activist from Houston, Texas, and his wife and associate Wanda, from Sims, Texas. The Holcombes discuss their family origins, initial exposure to racial problems and civil rights, their respective educations, pastoral work in Baton Rouge and Chicago, the Ku Klux Klan and dangers encountered, work with the Ecumenical Institute of Chicago and empowering black communities, the 1968 Chicago riots, Fifth City, and similar work in Australia and the Philippines.

Interview with Hank Hudspeth, a Navy veteran, concerning his experiences as a cryptographer in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Hudspeth discusses his assignment to COMSOPAC at Noumea in New Caledonia, the intricacies of sending and receiving various classifications of coded messages, and the ambush of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's plane in 1943.

Interview with J. Frank Rollins, an oilman and a geophysicist, concerning his work experience with Petty Geophysical Engineering Company doing refraction seismic work; his employment with Geophysical Service, Inc.; doing reflection and refraction work in 1936; oil exploration in South America; work in oil field instrumentation equipment; work as a "computer" interpreting geological data; founding of Rayflex Exploration Company in 1948; technological developments for oil field exploration; geochemical surveying; the sale of Rayflex to Phillips-Eckhart in 1962; his work as a geophysical consultant; the application of oil field technology to national defense; German espionage activity in South America during World War II; and pro-German activity in South Louisiana during World War II.

Interview with Adolph Allen from Colfax, Louisiana concerning his experiences while employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the Great Depression as well as his childhood and experiences leading up to joining the CCC. Allen worked at a camp in New Augusta, Mississippi (Company 5415).

Interview with Ernest Kelley, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran from Antioch, Texas (now the Red River Army Depot), who served with the 112th Cavalry. Kelley discusses growing up in the Depression, joining the Guard, mobilization and training, horses, the Louisiana Maneuvers, deployment to New Caledonia, landing on Woodlark island and action there, the Battle of Arawe, redeployment to Australia, the Battle of Driniumor River in New Guinea, the Battles of Leyte and Luzon, returning to the United States, and reflections on his time in the Army. In appendix is a list of people and places named in the interview with lat/long coordinates, descriptions of military equipment, and the 112th's WWII service chronicle.

Interview with Charles Kingsley, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran from Dallas, Texas, who served in the 112th Cavalry. Kingsley discusses his upbringing, joining the Guard, the Louisiana Maneuvers, deployment to New Caledonia, his troop's machine gun section/platoon, Woodlark Island, the Battle of Arawe, New Guinea and the Battle of Drinumor River, the Battles of Leyte and Luzon, his thoughts on the generals he served, and thoughts on the 112th.

Interview with Judge Ed Gossett, judge of the Criminal District Court in Dallas, Texas. In the first interview, Gossett discusses his childhood in Louisana and Texas, his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, his time as a lawyer and as district attorney for the 46th judicial district, and his election to Congress in 1938. The second interview includes Gossett's discussion of his tenure as a Congressman.

Interview with Nolan Albarado, a Army WWII veteran from Assumption Parish, Louisiana. Albarado discusses his experiences at Schofield Barracks, Oahu during the Japanese attack on December 7th, 1941, as well as his entry into the Army and training, assignment to Schofield Barracks, life and operations there, liberty, the stockade, and later service in the war.

Interview with Karl Bugbee, a Marine WWII veteran and POW from New Orleans, Louisiana. Bugbee discusses his time in the Philippines at Cavite Naval Yard before the war, the Japanese invasion, the Battle of Bataan, the Battle of Corregidor, his capture, and his internment at Bilibid Prison, Cabanatuan, and the Ashio Copper Mine in Japan.

Interview with Arhtur B. Clark, a Texas National Guard WWII veteran and POW from Abilene, Texas, who was captured with the 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery. Clark discusses joining the National Guard, training and maneuvers, deployment to the Pacific, the fall of Java and surrender to the Japanese, experiences in internment at Tanjong Priok in Batavia, internment at Changi Camp in Singapore, labor on the Burma "Death" Railway, and liberation. The interview includes an appendix with a reference page and a written flight log by Col. Tom Sledge.
