Table of Proton-Proton Scattering Phase Shift as Calculated from the One-Pion Exchange Contribution
The phase shifts for proton-proton scattering as calculated from the one-pion exchange contribution (OPEC) alone are of some interest because they describe the scattering correctly in the high angular momentum states, and because in the lower angular momentum states the deviation from the OPEC phases is an indication of the strength of the two-pion and higher exchanges processes. The attached table gives the proton-proton nuclear-bar phase shifts as calculated from OPEC. Phase shifts and mixing parameters are given in degrees, as function of the T, the laboratory kinetic energy of the incoming protons in Mev. Phase shift and mixing parameters are listed in the angular momentum states.

Microwave Attenuation Standards and Measurements
Report discussing microwave attenuation measurement methods and standards. In addition, a relatively new and more precise way of representing and analyzing an attenuation measurement is presented. This in turn permits more rigorous definitions and error analyses than were previously possible. The referral of microwave attenuation measurements to standards operating at lower frequencies is discussed with particular attention to the errors in the referral processes as well as the errors in the standards themselves. Desirable characteristics are listed for attenuators which are suitable for calibration. Measurement methods are classified and described. Comments are made on the accuracy and convenience of various methods, and references are given which cover most of the basic and important research in this field. A Computer Program for the Kinetic Treatment of Radiation-Induced Simultaneous Chemical Reactions
"WR16, a program written in 3600-FORTRAN for a CDC-3600 digital computer, calculates, as a function of time, the concentrations of all the species taking part in the simultaneous first- and second-order chemical reactions occurring during and after exposure to ionizing radiations occurring during and after exposure to ionizing radiation of any chemical system (for example, an aqueous solution). Homogeneous reaction kinetics is assumed for the computation. The variation of electrical conductivity and optical absorbance of the system can also be computed" (p. 1).
