A biography by J.M. Polk about his life, and years with Hood's Texas Brigade.

This document is a message to the legislature of Texas from Governor T.M. Campbell. The purpose of the message was to get the legislature prepared to discuss laws concerning: simplification of court proceedings in the state of Texas, making telephone companies transmit other telephone companies messages, fair and lawful taxing of its citizens, increase business fees of both domestic and foreign businesses, and any other matters relating to the Constitution of Texas.

Postcard to Mrs. G. F. Southwick. The postcard features a photograph of a long, two-story building with porches on both stories and a stone wall with an open gate in front of the building. The roof of the building is gabled and the porch on the second story is enclosed by a screen. There are a few small trees within the yard, and beyond the fence is a road. There are handwritten notes around the border of the photograph, and the back is blank except for a name and address.

Postcard to Mrs. Arthur. The postcard features a photograph (colored in with ink) of the town of Boerne, Texas, and some of the small farms surrounding the town, taken from a great distance. There are larger trees on the right front side of the town, and in the background, small bluffs are visible on the horizon. The back of the postcard has postcard markings, as well as the name and address of the recipient

The photo shows a busy street scene with a man holding an American flag and riding a horse. There are people walking, horse-drawn buggies, some children, and a marching band, all coming towards the camera. In the background, a brick, two-story building is also visible.
