The letter on the back reads, "Dear Mamie, I received your card yesterday and was so glad to get it but I can not come in as it is on Friday and I cannot leave then. I wish you girls would come out and see us. Aileen Lovejoy is going to try and come to see you all Monday but I can't come with her. Lots of love, Zilee." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin Gunston Hall Washington, D. C."

Postcard of a marble statue of Jesus Christ with arms open. The back describes the postcard as the following, "This heroic statue of "The Divine Healer" was presented to the John Hopkins Hospital in 1896 by Mr. William Wallace Spence. It is a replica of the famous work of Bertel Thorvaldsen which was placed in Copenhagen. The white figure was carved from a block of Carrara marble with this lettering at the base of the statue -- "Come unto me all ye that are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."
