Letter from Sterling Houston, playwright and director of the Jump-Start Performance Company, to Kate Martin of the Department of Arts and Cultural Affairs. He writes to thank her and the department for their support of the Kool Jams project, for which he has received a job offer and indispensable exposure. He finishes with a list of endeavors in the company's future. He also includes a photocopied newspaper clipping.

On the ground, a layer of pinto and black beans create a symbol. Also on the ground is a basket of cookies and cured meats, as well as four vases of yellow and orange flowers. To the left of the basket is a black and white program. Behind the altar is a mural in maroon and white, which is largely hidden by the altar.
