Published three times a year, The Chain is a newsletter for local chapters of The Links, Inc., located in the western United States. It contains letters from the area director as well as chapter reports, financial statements, rosters, member updates, officer information, conference announcements, and other news related to the organization's service and personal development activities.

This publication of the local chapters of The Links, Inc. located in the western United States details individual chapter accomplishments with regard to four program areas of community service: the arts, youth services, national services, and international outreach and services.
