This book contains the history of Alleyton, Texas, which is located in Colorado County. The book includes information about the Alley family, the founding of Alleyton, reminiscences and recollections, as well as the establishment of railroads, local businesses, schools, and churches.

Occupation tax receipt given to P. B. Bundick of Matagorda County, Texas for his occupation of Ferryman. Mr. Bundick paid ten dollars for both a state and county tax. The transaction was confirmed by the comptroller of public accounts, whose signature can be seen on the bottom left corner.

Letter from Charley G. Kidder of Bay City, Texas, to John J. Herrera dated September 2,1950. Kidder is asking for a donation from Herrera to pay the balance of funeral expenses for a man killed in a train accident. Herrera apparently was the attorney retained by the family.

Gutierrez requests legal advice following an act of discrimination against one of their LULAC members who was refused service at the Rainbow Inn of Palacios, Texas.

Letter from Henry P. Evans of Houston, Texas to Oscar M. Laurel, LULAC Executive Secretary & Legal Advisor, dated October 3, 1951. Evans writes concerning a city lot in Bay City, Texas, in connection with oil and gas leases. Evans requests execution of paperwork by LULAC officers to straighten up the issue.
