Mr. and Mrs. Peter Westerholm (Astrid)

Bust portrait photograph of a woman, identified as Mrs. Astrid Westerholm, and her husband Peter Westerholm. They are in front of a blank backdrop. Mrs. Westerholm wears glasses and a jacket with embroidery detail on her lapel. Mr. Westerholm also wears glasses, as well as a suit jacket and polka-dot tie. Accompanying information states that, "Mrs. Astrid Westerholm was the organist in Danevang Lutheran Church in 1939-1942. She played on alternationg[sic] Sundays with Emil Svensson and Mrs. Viggo Andersen at some time during her tenure. The organ at that time was a reed organ that had to be pumped to make music. Since there were numerous young fellows in the congregation, each was assigned a specific Sunday to fulfill this obligation. Most of them remember it well. In later years, Carl Lerager offered to pump the organ every Sunday as his contribution to the church. His offer was cheerfully accepted."
