[Fire at Cedar Crest Apartments in Denton]

Photograph of a fire at the Cedar Crest apartment complex with a Denton Fire Department fire engine in the foreground and an unidentified man standing on the second floor with fire and smoke in the background. The Cedar Crest apartments, now called Vendi Place, is located at 223 Avenue G. The fire was started by a student who was cooking. They put out the fire and went to class, but the flames had traveled up the vent and had gone into the attic.
