"The History of the Charles Conrad Johanson Family," by Drusilla Johanson Miller traces the Johanson family's history back to Sweden in 1842 and the Andrew Johann Johnson family's Swedish history back to 1861 and then follows the journeys of both men as they emigrate from Sweden into Texas, eventually settling in the East Sweden, Fairview, and Brady Communities of McCulloch County, where their families merged with the 1906 marriage in Brady of their children Henry Charles Johanson and Annie Johnson, who were the parents of several children about whom biographical information is also given through 1976.

Godbey's article describes the history of Haslet, Texas and says the last cotton gin in town had been sold and how the state of the town had worsened since 1936 when it had "two grocery stores, one notion store, two or three cafes, two filling stations, two cotton gins, three churches, one drug store and a high school." Murphy's article talks mostly about statistics in the National Football League.
