Interview with Mary Margaret Hall Doyen, who was born in the Philippines and moved to Kerrville, Texas when she was 9. Mrs. Doyen details the reasons her family moved to the Philippines, and then to Kerrville. Within the interview, she also talks about her family history (including her Cherokee Indian heritage), the flood of 1932, her grandparent's jewelry store, Self's Jewelry, her schooling in Kerrville, meeting her husband, Glen Doyen, during World War II, and her various occupations throughout her life. Mrs. Doyen says she possesses many photos of Kerrville because of her and her mother's work as photography developers.

Postcard from Gus Brown to George Pendexter describing a fire that happened in Springfield, Ohio in 1903, in talking about injuries Brown says: "5 buried [sic] by falling walls, 3 taken out dead, others had broken limbs." The photograph on the reverse side shows the damage caused by the fire at the Fountain Square Theatre on February 19, 1903; this is the "stage entrance" which is torn up and wooden beams lying on the ground in disarray.

Bruce notes the blizzard conditions in Michigan that include four to five feet snow drifts. The photograph on the reverse side shows a group of firemen sitting in a fire truck that is covered in snow and wearing snow chains; the note on the picture says: "10 below zero inspecting fire alarm."

[Letter from Albert Sydney Burleson to Dr. Joseph Pound, February 22, 1907]

Letter from Albert Sydney Burleson to Dr. Joseph Pound detailing instructions on how to apply and be provided an increase in pensions from $12 to $16 as per his service in the Mexican American War. There is an enclosed document that shows the actual act of Congress that was passed to gain this increase; in part the act reads: "any person who served ninety days or more...during the late civil war or sixty days in the war with Mexico...be entitled to receive a pension as follows..." There is a three-tiered pension setup, those who are sixty two years or older gets $12, seventy years get $16, and seventy five or older get $20.
