Interview with Vern "Bucky" Blodgett, an armed forces veteran and Veteran's Administration worker from Kerrville, Texas. Mr. Blodgett describes moving to and growing up in Kerrville, and his work with the VA Hospital there (first as a clerk, and finally, as acting associate director). Besides serving in the service for four years, he also worked in several VA facilities around the country before making his way back to Kerrville. His memories of the town include details of the flood of 1932, his role in founding the Buck 'N' Bull Club (a rifle club) in 1946, and a few stories concerning the religious community. There is a large crowd of people lining the street on both sides, as other vehicles pass by in the background. There is a note on the photo that says "St. Louis, MO has great collection of cards."

A handwritten note on the back of the postcard, which is addressed to Mr. A.F. Frederick, says "Dear Father: This is what we get here and plenty of it. They are very strict with us. Take good care of my wife dad and I'll do my best here. Goodbye and good luck. Your son."

A handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to "Miss and Master Mundt" in Chicago, Illinois and says, "Dear Kids, Great life down here but it sure is hot and dry. Got here last Thur, May 9, '18. Left Jefferson Barracks last Tues night at 10 o'clock. Your uncle, John.
