She also briefly discusses the honors and awards her volunteer work has earned her. Pages 2-13 include a written statement by Miles Abernathy Lowrence, Clarabelle's maternal great-uncle.

Postcard of the soldiers of Section "B" marching on a dirt road at Camp MacArthur in Waco, Texas. A handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Mr. William Jennings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and says, "Dear friend, This is [?] life down here and I like it better every day. Postcard from Gus Brown to George Pendexter thanking George for sending him cards of the truck in Dallas, Texas and discussing the recent snow storm. The photograph on the reverse side shows one of the horse-drawn fire wagons, parked in front of the fire station, used by the Springfield Fire Department in Springfield, Ohio; this wagon is being pulled by two horses with two firemen in the driver's seat. There are also two firemen standing on the back of the wagon on the far right of the picture.
