Photograph of a street crowded with three police cars, a fire engine with a ladder on top, three police officers, and other people (in the street and on the side of the far side of the street, watching). A man with a bandage covering one of his eyes is laying on a gurney being pulled and pushed by a man in a suit and a firefighter. The ladder on top of the fire engine has "Dallas Fire Department, Snorkel No. 2" on the side. There are two partially visible multi-story buildings and a neon pharmacy sign in the immediate background. [Firefighters Climb Into Fire-Damaged Medical Arts Building]

Photograph of firefighters inside the second-story of the fire-damaged, gaping side of the Medical Arts Building. A firefighter on the ground holds one of two tall ladders propped up against the exposed second-story floor. Two large, burnt piles of rubble sit on either side of the ladders, and there are several firefighting hoses lying coiled in the foreground. A man wearing a white coat and white hard-hat stands behind the ladder on the left, just inside the building. On the back of the photograph are extensive notes about the fire that damaged the building, a portion of a torn-off label, and a stamp identifying the photographer.
