Postcard from J. P. Eagan to George Pendexter with a note on the back saying that Pendexter's fire truck should "be ready for shipment about Dec. 20th." He goes on the say that the photograph on the reverse side shows "#18 wagon just as the walls fell at general paper Co. fire May 23-1911. Smith notes he is from Battle Creek, Michigan on the card while the photograph was taken in Hamilton. The caption on the photograph tells us that this is "Truck No. 1 Central Fire Station" being photographed; there are 12 men that make up this company, nine of whom are standing in front of the long wagon loaded with ladders, while two are sitting in the driver's seat and one is sitting at the very back of the ladders.
