His anecdotes include stories of drunk passengers, dead passengers, epileptic passengers, passengers who gave birth, passengers who fought, . He briefly mentions his service in the Coast Guard. He also discusses the flood of 1932, the religious community of Kerrville, and identifies local businesses.
