Letter from Rabbi Newton J. Friedman to I. H. Kempner discussing the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Hillel Building Fund that will be held in Austin. He also mentions his new election to Temple B'nai B'rith of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and will have to leave Austin in early August. He states that he will make his final report at the board meeting.

Letter from I. H. Kempner to Rabbi Newton j. Friedman explaining that, after receiving prior correspondence from Rabbi Friedman, Kempner forwarded the letter to a Mr. Schapiro seeing as he was able to investigate applicants. Kempner also adds an afternote about hearing of Rabbi Cohen taking a fall and severely injuring himself, sharing the details of the circumstances surrounding the injury as well as what hospital Rabbi Cohen was admitted to.

Schapiro goes on to state that due to Rabbi Friedman's prior correspondence with Dr. Nelson Glueck, Glueck would potentially forward the letter through the appropriate channels for proper consideration.
