In regards of Janice Wiggins, Visual Arts Special, Dallas Public Schools and her contract with North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, hoping that she could be under an extended contract through June 14 - 25, 1993 to finish work she has started with three of her art specialists in planning the 1993 Dallas Institute. The Dallas Institute is a complex staff development experience for classroom teachers and art specialists in the district. Included in the letter is a detailed list of Wiggin's responsibility and her expected goals. At the end of the letter Davis and McCarter are excited to consider an interactive television connection with Dallas schools on June 21, 1993 and that Dr. Wilson, cross site evaluator for the Getty Center will be observing the distance learning project.

A letter from Leilani Lattin Duke, Director of the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to Jack Davis and William McCarter, co-directors of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. The letter is in regards to Davis and McCarter's prior correspondence with Duke where they said the NAEA Distinguished Service Award to the Center was a gratifying experience as the award recognizes the tremendous contributions, including the institutes staff.

A memo from Thandiwee Michael Kendall, Getty Center for Education in the Arts to the Regional Institute Directors. The memo is in regards to the Getty Center for Education in the Arts announcing the publication of the second set of posters in Multicultural Art Print Series (MAPS II). The project is a collaborative effort between The Center, The National Museum of American Art that the Smithsonian Institution, The Southwest Museum, The J. Paul Getty Museum and Crystal Productions Inc, designed to promote understanding, knowledge and appreciation of the many cultures and people with arts created by artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.

In regards to a meeting Lindsey had with Cason in discussion Lindsey was able to offer assistance and recommendations to video tapes for Cason's planning of the upcoming institute. Lindsey has loaned out the video tapes and writes that she doesn't expect them any time before July and hopes that Cason will be interested in them.

The letter is in regards to previous correspondence where Davis and North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts submitted a support grant proposal. In the letter Mann writes that have received their request and it will be considered.

In regards of Dallas participation in the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. McCarter writes that after reviewing their budget they have found that they will be able to fund one team from DISD for the first year at the Institute. After that one year they are going to discuss the re-entry of Dallas into the five year plan after discussing with the Getty Center about more funding. McCarter hopes to meet up with Dunn to discuss finer details in an upcoming meeting.
