Edwards also is in support of the discipline-based approach to teaching of the art as it not only encourages studio art training but reinforces other goals like improved reading, interdisciplinary studies and high lever activities. Photocopy of a letter from Edith O'Donnell, Young Audiences of Greater Dallas, to Jack Davis, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. O'Donnell thanks Davis for his interest in the Young Audiences project and for copying video tape material for O'Donnell and her staff. O'Donnell says she was interested in hearing about Davis's experience with fiber optics and distance learning and hopes the Museum will allow the proper wiring to allow them to be on the cutting edge for arts education. A summary of the UNT/GET Meeting Re SchooLINC/PRC, February 19, 1992. In attendance was UNT, Chancellor Alfred F. Hurley, Vice President Fred Pole, Interim Education Dean Richard Simms. GTE, Mark Emroy, Education Division, John Clark, Education Division, Troy Hignight, Mgr. Customer Relations and Melvin Willis, District Manager. An hour-long meeting occurred in Chancellor Hurley's office at UNT on February 19. Mark Emroy stated that GTE will not provide any services to SchooLINC/PDC on a pro bono basis. Little or no progress toward resolution of SchooLINC/PDC issues was achieved during the meeting.

The attachment is in regards to descriptors Feduk and Kuhlmen have provided to SERC, in regards to the teleconference between Nebraska and the North Texas Institute. McCarter's note reads, "Descriptors OK with Texas."

Lynda Alford, art supervisors, has given Reynolds dates for videotaping art specialists and the classrooms with the teachers and art specialists. Reynolds needs to know if the dates are possible since Wagner and Huebner need to go through the proper channels.
