Each fall the TCA holds statewide meetings called ArtsReach and that this year NTIEVA will be traveling to sixteen cities throughout Texas to speak with Artists, Arts & Cultural Organizations, etc., and anyone interested in changes to TCA grant programs.

In this letter Perot notes that their program is impressive but cannot commit to their support at this time due to other commitments.

A financial assistance application from the University of North Texas, School of Visual Arts, requesting support starting September 1997 and ending August 1998. Six-hundred people will be served from the proposal and 24, 600+ youths will be as well. The second page of the application is a breakdown of the budgeting. The third page talks about the goals of the institution in which the money requested would be going too.

Photocopy of a letter from James J. Muro, Vice President for Development, Office of Advancement, North Texas State University to Val Wilkie of the Sid W. Richardson Foundation. The letter is in regards to Wilkie, Muro and Rogers Redding discussing the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science and the request for financial assistance from the Sid W. Richardson Foundation for $100,000 to be used for the expenditures associated with the Academy. The money will be used to increase the supply of talented scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. The memo is in regards to an invitation for the regional directors and their colleagues in discipline-based art education to join the participants in SERC's nation-wide teleconference "Schools, Museums, Art and Children: A Dialogue of States." Photocopy of a memo from Vicki Rosenberg, program officer for the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to the California and Regional Institute Directors. The memo is in regards to the Directors' and Funder's meeting which has been postponed due to poor response from the Center's invitations. Rosenberg states that they can convene funders after the network is designed and the Centers of Excellence are selected, that means rescheduling the meeting after July 1, 1994.

A memo from Sheila Brown and Margaret Proskovec, to Prairie Visions Superintendents and Contact Persons. The memo is in regards to the Nebraska schools being offered an opportunity to participate in a 23 state partnership of educators and public broadcasters that provides quality interactive education via satellite. The memo also announces a two teleworkshop that will be broadcast nationally.

A North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts newsletter for the September 1990, Vol. 1 No. 1. The purpose of the newsletter is to update their readers on the current art and art education news and accomplishments, this newsletter features an article, "Summer Institute a Success!" which states that according to their program evaluation conducted by UNT's Center for Collaborative Research the summer's North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts received endorsements of participants involved.

The memo is in regards to an inviation for the National Leaders and their colleagues in art education to join SERC's nation-wide teleconference "Schools, Museums, Art and Children: A Dialogue of States." The primary focus of the teleconference will be on art and art education implementation in the public school curriculum and the discussions art comprehension.
