Thanking him for graciously agree to be chair of the Advisory Committee for the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. Davis and McCarter writes that being a member of the advisory committee they will periodically review the activities of the Institute and serve as liaison between the community and the Institute, which serves as stepping stone towards comprehensive visual arts program being integrated in school districts. Included in the letter are details about what to expect from being a committee member and the types of meetings they hope to have during the following year. Davis and McCarter write that they are excited about the opportunity to improve the quality of visual arts for students and develop a more informed audience. The letter states that enclosed are a list of people who have been invited to participate as committee members as well as a packet of materials that were sent to them. The list and materials are not present with the letter.
