A press information document in regards to the Getty Center for Education in the Arts awarding $200,000 to Goals 2000 Arts Education Leadership Fund, an organization that works to ensure that the arts are part of state education reform plans. The fund was established jointly by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Assembly of State Art Agencies (NASAA). The Leadership Fund will bring a powerful new partnership between the public sector and the philanthropic community.

McCarter and Davis go into detail about what NTIEVA does and what their program DBAE, discipline-art based education does for teachers, students and districts they work with. McCarter and Davis finish their letter saying how their continued collaboration and support in every way makes it possible to formulate art education initiatives and additional learning opportunities.
