Broadus writes that she is happy that other teachers now involved with the institute program, want to implement art related programs into the curriculum and that Burton Hill is lucky to have an art specialists like Carolyn Sherburn for her contribution to the program and school. Broadus writes that when she visited the school the past Wednesday, Sylvia Russel shared Pedigo's Mid-East unit and how art was included into the study. NTIEVA will be working with PPISD for the next five years and Broadus wants Pedigo to be apart of the program to help teachers integrate visual arts.

Attached to the letter are the mini-grant applications filled out by Nancy and Pam. The last page is a memo from Pam Stephens to Deborah Dobbins, letting Dobbins know that Stephens and Reynolds will be presenting six workshops at NAEA.

Under project narrative is a brief summary of the founding and primary goals of the institute. Included in the application are expenditures for the institute, application checklist, a five-year budget, an executive summary, evaluation summaries and a newspaper clipping featuring an article on the success of the program in public schools.

The grant was given by the Edward and Betty Marcus Foundation and establishes the Marcus Fellows program at UNT.

A letter from John Paul Batiste to Mark Elder about the financial assistance being offered to the NTIEVA program for the 1993-94 fiscal year. Batiste also requests that a new budget write-up is sent with the corrected award amount and a summary of how it can be broken down is included with the letter.

Paul Getty Trust. Munitz will take the position over from Harold M. Williams who is said to retire on his 70th birthday just three-weeks after the opening of the Getty Center in Brentwood.

Due to his last course being taken 11 years prior none will count towards his doctoral degree. Davis and McCarter write that it would take 60 semester hours at a minimum to complete the degree.
