McCarter continues to say he does not see the dilemma in using the word aesthetic as it means various things to different people.

A press release for the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, announcing that the University of North Texas will be coordinating a new program called North Texas Regional Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts in collaboration with Forth Worth, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Plano, Denton and Pilot Point ISD. Along with, the Amon Carter, Dallas Museum of Art, Kimbell Art Museum, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Greater Denton Arts Council, and the Fort Worth Arts Council. The purpose of the education reformation program is to bring art knowledge, skills and understanding of art production, art history and criticism into the classroom.

From Esthetics to Empowerment: The Getty Trust
