In the application for grants from the Department of Education, is a table of contents, a letter from the Office of Educational Research and Improvement from the Director, Richard T. La Pointe, application instructions and other legalities of the grant process. These pages belonged to the desk of Jack Davis, William McCarter, as they researched foundations to support their education reform program.

Tracy Moran, a crayola spokeswoman said, "Coloring isn't just for kids anymore." Dr. William McCarter, art professor at the University of North Texas says, "the use of crayons as an adult medium isn't new." The number of adults using crayons is part of a trend on being involved in some form of self-expression.

The project is a collaborative effort between The Center, The National Museum of American Art that the Smithsonian Institution, The Southwest Museum, The J. Paul Getty Museum and Crystal Productions Inc, designed to promote understanding, knowledge and appreciation of the many cultures and people with arts created by artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The memo is in regards to the resignation of Julie Abel, program associate, effective June 4, 1992. Delores McMullen will replace Abel beginning June 22 through early September, as Abel may rejoin the staff at that time.
