Davis and McCarter writes that being a member of the advisory committee they will periodically review the activities of the Institute and serve as liaison between the community and the Institute, which serves as stepping stone towards comprehensive visual arts program being integrated in school districts. Included in the letter are details about what to expect from being a committee member and the types of meetings they hope to have during the following year. Davis and McCarter write that they are excited about the opportunity to improve the quality of visual arts for students and develop a more informed audience. The letter states that enclosed are a list of people who have been invited to participate as committee members as well as a packet of materials that were sent to them. The list and materials are not present with the letter.

As such they are inviting Woolery to participate in an Administrator's Day for Dallas I.S.D. at the Meadows Museum at SMU and then the new wing of the Dallas Museum of Art. Their primary goal is to introduce NTIEVA to the new directors of the museum and introduce them to the DISD administrators. McCarter, Davis and Reynolds would like Woolery to present a greeting during the introductions of the day, and are having Janice Wiggins working with his secretary to schedule a day for this event in allowance of other key administrators to attend.
