The presentation made a positive impact on the faculty and the people present in attendance and have been motivation to act upon the inclusion of the program into their curriculum. McIntyre formally invites NTIEVA back to El Paso and present to the art specialists in the El Paso district and is looking forward to working with Davis and NTIEVA. Rodriguez hopes that Davis will be able to send her some information regarding the teacher training program and other subjects in its relation, along with the inquiry about outside observers to attend meetings / seminars if possible.

Photocopy of a letter from Nancy Reynolds, project coordinator of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to Augustus Whitted, Director of Elementary Education, in regards to Burton Hill Elementary School submitting a proposal for an Extended Fine Arts Program. The North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts supports and endorses the proposal, giving thoughtful consideration for its funding. Reynolds explains in the letter that NTIEVA is a program devoted to research and development of discipline-based art education (DBAE), and that Fort Worth ISD and Burton Hill has been a model for the development of the strategies implemented from the program. NTIEVA will continue to support the educational initiative taking place at Burton Hill.

Woolery writes that the Dallas Public Schools will be unable to continue their participation with NTIEVA, due to budgeting and time constraints. Woolery finishes the letter by saying the fine arts staff have been positive about the impact the program has had on their schools, and hopes Davis and McCarter will continue to let them know of opportunities in the future regarding NTIEVA and the Getty Foundation. Included at the end of the letter is a stipend worksheet for the faculty involved with NTIEVA based on current salaries.
