Historical Museum, writing how much Broadus enjoyed the Docent Training Workshop and for giving Broadus an opportunity to work with the docents. Enclosed in the letter to Sellmeyer, Broadus has sent teacher packets and museum education brochures from Meadows Museum at SMU, to help Sellmeyer gather new ideas for her education tour at the Historical Museum. Teacher packets not present with letter.

Photocopy of a letter from Vicki Rosenberg to the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts group about a possible guide for school board members. Rosenberg is asking for a recommendation on which school board member to be considered for writing an article. There are hand-written notes on the document, at the top is "rec'd 1/23/91" and at the bottom is one that reads "Davis will call Gerald Ponder, Denton ISD".

Photocopy of a letter from Bill McCarter and Jack Davis, co-directors of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to James "Jim" Surratt, Superintendent Plano ISD. In regards to the success of the 1991 summer institute in the implementation of DBAE, discipline-based art education and that the teachers and administrators from Plano worked very hard for the two weeks. NTIEVA has already begun to plan for the 1992 summer institute and need some materials from the district by October 15, in order to insure the continuation of funding from the Getty Center. Incidentally the second page of the letter is to Ronald Caloss, from September 20, 1991. The second page finishes the letter from the first.

Photocopy of a letter from Edith O'Donnell, Young Audiences of Greater Dallas, to Jack Davis, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. O'Donnell thanks Davis for his interest in the Young Audiences project and for copying video tape material for O'Donnell and her staff. O'Donnell says she was interested in hearing about Davis's experience with fiber optics and distance learning and hopes the Museum will allow the proper wiring to allow them to be on the cutting edge for arts education. Copied on the letter is Nancy Cason.

An instructional memo to someone named Ron, who is requested to put together a second rough draft of the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts video on classroom learning. The video will be used my Jack Davis and William McCarter at the upcoming National Conference and it will be used during the teleconference between Nebraska and Texas.

In regards a meeting Bill McCarter and Reynolds had where they evaluated Fletcher and her secondary teachers in promoting and the implementation of discipline-based art education, DBAE. The rest of the letter goes into details about materials and supplies Fletcher needs to obtain for her teachers, along with handbook materials Reynolds has provided for Fletcher.

Photocopy of a letter from Robert H. Smith, Senator, Mississippi State Senate, to Jack Davis, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. To thank Davis for his success in promoting music and art in the curriculum as an instructional tool. Smith writes that he was successful on August 10, 1992 in having the Southern Legislative Conference adopt the resolution stating the need for music and arts education in public school curriculum and the success of the movement will depend on securing financing. Smith ends the letter asking for Davis's assistance in that matter.

A letter from Julie Anne Abel to regional institute directors about requesting more information from the directors in order to update a chart for The Getty Center for Education in the Arts Advisory Committee. Attached documents include cumulative data for the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts and a fax letter.
