Portfolio, a newsletter of Arts Propel, Vol. 1, No. 1. This is the first issue of a newsletter edited by Dennie Wolf and published by Harvard Project Zero. The newsletter is for the collaborative project titled Arts Propel, whose primary goal is assessing student achievement in art and art education, along with art humanities. The newsletter will act as the projects primary source of information in regards to updates and achievements by the project.

A newsletter created by The Getty Center for Education in the Arts and published through IVAE. There are several articles including one by Nancy Reynolds that covers the NTIEVA Summer Institute and DBAE program.

The cover letter talks about the themes of the magazine, titled "Art in Unexpected Places", the purpose behind TCA, and the importance of the arts in Texas culture. The magazine itself is split into 6 sections, The Makers of Art, Lifelong Learning, Public/Private Ventures, Art in Unexpected Places, Texas Museums & Texas Artist, and Texas Jazz. There are statements written from Executive Officers at the beginning of the magazine. The Makers of Art offers short biographies of musicians, painters, drawers, and writers. Lifelong Learning describes different organizations and their contributions to providing art education to communities. Public/Private Ventures discusses different organizations and their projects from the year. Art in Unexpected Places is about art being visualized all across Texas in different ways. Texas Museums & Texas Artist puts the spotlight on different museums and artist from across Texas and talks about their accomplishments in their communities. Texas Jazz gives information about different jazz festivals from across Texas. Other sections include Touring Traditions, New Opportunities, Service Organizations, and 1992-1993 Grants.

The journal has two pictures of student work that was made twelve years apart and a series of questions that about the altered roles of the final productions. The prints and questions come from an intensive study of artistic thinking known as Arts Propel. Propel is a collaboration between research and educators to assess artistic development.
