Series of letters, plus envelope, mailed together from E.N. McCoy as minister of the Church of Christ in Borger, TX to Blanche Perry. First letter confirms receipt of the painting and its installation on the church baptistry wall. Second letter is addressed to the leaders at the Sherman Street Church of Christ to transmit a check for $200 to the Belgian ministry in appreciation of Perry's painting (November 15, 1950). Third enclosure is a copy of explanatory text given to the Borger congregation regarding the Perry painting. It gives brief background of Perry and short discussion of symbolism in the painting. Symbols mentioned include mountains, sky, snow, sunbeams, light, rocks, flowers, birds. All letters are on church letterhead.

The minutes of the Hardin-Simmons University Building Committee meeting held on March 13 by E. W. Ledbetter, Secretary-Treasurer. The minutes include a list of recommendations by The Building Committee to be made to the Board of Trustees regarding the enlargement and improvement of Hardin-Simmons University. The names of the men on the committee include Mr. O. D. Dillingham, Mr. George S. Anderson, Dr. R. N. Richardson, Mr. Jake Sandefer, Mr. Leroy Jennings and Mr. George Foster.
